Diana and Simmy’s destination wedding at Johannesdal 1207 was an unforgettable celebration, beautifully blending their Chinese and Indian heritage. The decor echoed these influences, with suspended parasols, delicate blossoms and handpicked decorative elements. The menu was a delicious fusion of Chinese and Indian flavours, each dish a vibrant celebration of their heritage, with a touch of South African flair to tie it all together. The night reached its peak in the Blue Room, where a high-energy dance party had everyone on their feet — an evening that will surely be remembered for years to come! As for our favourite moments? It was the personalised Asian touches which we loved creating hand in hand with Okasie, Food Fanatics and Secret Diary, the towering doughnut wedding cake bursting with irresistible flavours, and of course, the unforgettable dance party that had everyone dancing until dawn.
Their wedding day was the grand finale after a series of joyful pre-wedding celebrations designed to showcase the beauty of the Franschhoek Winelands. They embraced everything the region had to offer—from a laid-back welcome dinner at Le Pommier to a culinary Franschhoek Wine Tram tour, followed by an al fresco barbecue at Babylonstoren. The pre-wedding festivities culminated in a Chinese Tea Ceremony at the elegant Johannesdal Villa. Post-wedding guests were treated to a brunch picnic at Hillcrest Berries.
