COUPLE
Emma and Ryan
ABOUT THE DAY
As award-winning restaurateurs from Florida, Emma and Ryan knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding – an intimate celebration in Africa, centred around exceptional food, beautiful scenery and the people they love most. With just 12 of their closest family and friends, they travelled to Franschhoek, South Africa’s culinary capital, for a cosy winter destination wedding. Guests stayed at the elegant Leeu House and enjoyed a week filled with world-class dining, including memorable experiences at La Petite Colombe and Orangerie Restaurant.
The couple exchanged vows in the breathtaking Sanctuary at La Roche Estate, where the stone architecture, mountain views and abundant white florals created the perfect setting for a crisp winter’s day blessed with sunshine. Following the ceremony, guests celebrated with a Champagne tower, freshly shucked oysters and gourmet canapés before the newlyweds headed to Epice for an intimate private dining experience.
Every detail reflected Emma and Ryan’s love for fine food, great wine and meaningful experiences. Rather than a traditional wedding, they created an unforgettable culinary journey through the Cape Winelands – a celebration that was elegant, relaxed and filled with laughter from beginning to end, and uniquely theirs.
