ABOUT THE DAY

A three day destination wedding in the Cape Winelands is always something special, and Day 2 of Chidi and Sesen’s celebration was no exception. Bringing together beautiful Eritrean and Nigerian traditions, this unforgettable wedding weekend continued to honour the couple’s heritage while embracing the sophistication and beauty of a luxury South African wedding experience. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Cape Winelands, with vineyards stretching towards the mountains, family and friends from across the globe gathered to share in this meaningful celebration. Elegant floral styling and a refined setting created the perfect atmosphere, allowing the couple’s love story and cultural traditions to remain at the heart of the day.

As the festivities unfolded, the celebration evolved into a vibrant evening filled with music, dancing and heartfelt moments shared between loved ones. Rich Eritrean and Nigerian traditions, spectacular entertainment and a dance floor that remained full throughout the evening created an atmosphere of joy, energy and unforgettable memories. At The Event Planners, we love designing destination weddings that celebrate each couple’s unique story and heritage. This extraordinary Cape Winelands celebration was a beautiful fusion of culture, luxury and timeless elegance.

FROM THE COUPLE

“We had wonderful experience working with this team for our wedding. From start to finish, they brought a level of organization, creativity, and calm professionalism that made the entire process seamless and genuinely enjoyable. Planning a destination wedding comes with its own set of complexities and challenges, but the team handled every detail with precision – from vendor coordination and logistics to timeline management and on-the-ground execution. They were very responsive and attentive to all our needs and concerns.

What stood out most was their ability to truly understand our vision and bring it to life in a way that felt personal and elevated. They balanced structure with flexibility, offering thoughtful recommendations while still allowing us to shape the experience in our own way. On the wedding day itself, everything flowed effortlessly. Our family and friends are calling our event the best wedding they’ve ever been to and we were able to be mostly present and enjoy the moments.”
