ABOUT THE DAY
One of the first things I remember about planning this wedding was the couple’s vision — a relaxed, intimate dinner under the stars, with absolutely no need for a dance floor. Well… I’ll let the photos tell the full story, but let’s just say those boys danced! It’s always a joy to plan a wedding at Vrede en Lust. The team is wonderfully efficient, and the estate offers one of the dreamiest romantic backdrops you could ask for — from its sweeping vineyards to the stunning Cape Dutch architecture. I’ll admit it: I cry at most ceremonies. This one was no exception. The love in the air was simply palpable. After the “I do’s,” guests enjoyed pre-drinks in a shady, picture-perfect spot — sipping cocktails, mingling, and taking in beautiful live music by Werner on piano and Donné on violin.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains, the couple’s vision truly came to life — a magical dinner reception under the stars, complete with the smooth, soulful sounds of a jazzy saxophone drifting through the night. And then… the dancefloor magic began!
