ABOUT THE DAY
Kate and Jason are a vibrant, energetic, yachty couple who spend their lives sailing around the world. Kate is a head stewardess, and a huge part of her life and job is hospitality. They chose to host their wedding at Emily Moon, one of our favourite Garden Route wedding venues. This meant that she approached her wedding full of wonderful and creative ideas to make sure her guests had an out-of-this-world experience during the multiple-day celebrations. Kate and Jason crept deep into our hearts during the year of planning, which included multiple trips up to Plettenberg Bay (we never complain about having to go to Plett!). “Niki at the Event Planners is an all-round RockStar! She pulled off the wedding of our dreams last October, from hunting down our picture-perfect venue to aligning the decor and style to match our particular tastes and running our day (or rather weekend) like clockwork. I work within the hospitality industry and had very high expectations and was super detail orientated, from the food and beverages on offer to the interactive stations on display and outsourced vendors (Werner is so incredibly talented!). Niki helped sculpt my multiple ideas into a structured timeline we could all work with, at the same time dealing with my unusual work hours and overseas obligations. Niki took this all in her stride, making the experience fun and exciting whilst remaining realistic and giving fantastic suggestions from her wealth of experience. I never thought I would find someone who I could trust to take the reins so that I could sit back and just make memories. In the two years that we spoke and planned, she was always available, passionate about her work and genuine. Never once did we feel that our wedding was “just another wedding”. Niki also went above and beyond to see our celebrations through, amid traumatic personal family circumstances, remaining professional and bringing her sparkle to our wedding day. I cannot recommend her more highly.”
