We absolutely love it when we are asked to help plan a marriage proposal in Cape Town! The options are endless and the first thing to do is find that perfect spot. In this case I think we nailed it! Our dashing groom-to-be, Jonathan… wanted an experience that would be a lasting memory, down to the exact song to be played as he got onto one knee. And it all had to happen on the 31st of December.
Our photographer, Carla from Forever September Photography, accompanied the couple on their trip from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town to the breathtaking Lothian House in Elgin. This a private residence that can be hired for weddings, events… and now proposals. They had the entire property to themselves and as you will see by the pictures, they made good use of it.
As they enjoyed lunch, prepared by a private chef, they were serenaded by Ike Moriz and his band. Just as planned, as dessert was served, Ike sang ‘You Make Me Feel So Young‘ by Frank Sinatra and Jonathan made his move!
Jonathan and Amy were then able to relax a bit and make use of the venue’s jacuzzi, swimming pool and jet skis before being flown back to the waterfront by Cape Town Helicopters.
