A Wedding in Plettenberg Bay

Sep 22, 2016 | Blog, Weddings

We were more than delighted to be able to plan a wedding in Plettenberg Bay!  Suzanne and Gerhard chose to get married in the heart of winter one of the most beautiful places in the Western Cape: Plettenberg Bay.  A place that holds special memories for both of them and where their friends and family could enjoy a weekend away along the Garden Route.

The couple chose the rustic barn restaurant Katarina’s at Kurland Hotel with Executive Chef, Leon Coetzee, preparing an exquisite meal for their guests.  We were very fortunate to work alongside the talented Judy from The Delicate Nature who created the most divine floral installations in warm wintery hues, incorporating vintage vases and handmade candles.

We will let the pictures tell the story from the moment Suzanne walked down the aisle at the old Anglican stone church in town through to pre-drinks at the pool, an amazing dinner with live entertainment by Werner Denner Man with Music (who also sang a beautiful rendition of Nature Boy accompanied by piano in the ceremony and performed an amazing loop set over pre-drinks).  To top it off, a rocking party led by The Fezz (the dance floor did not clear once!).  It was perfection!

Thank you again, Suzanne and Gerhard, for allowing us to be part of this special occasion.

Side Note:  If you spot any conspicuous tattoos there is a very sweet story behind them. Gerhard designed a custom tattoo for them early in their relationship and these were made into temporary tattoos for all the guests to wear on the wedding day.  It’s all in the detail!

Keep following us to see Part II of this wedding, which will also include their wedding video.  So much prettiness to share!
